1966-71 batch collected funds at the
time of their Silver Jubilee reunion for instituting various scholarships and
awards to benefit students of BITS Pilani. Currently the accumulated sum
amounts to 16 lakhs INR. 4 awards, each
of Rs.10,000 to be awarded for BITS students for their outstanding
contribution at APOGEE, with the interest gained from the corpus.
The events and paper presentation categories for which the money is awarded are:
- DHITI
- Design Appliances
- Energy and Environment
- Health and Nutrition
The event structure might vary time
to time, but the award money will be utilized to recognize contributions in the
related fields as above.
