Hanuman Bengani is currently working as Vice President at
BOC India Ltd., a member of The Linde Group and heading Project Engineering
Business in India. He received B.E. (Hons.) in Chemical Engineering from BITS,
Pilani in 1976. Hanuman is a founding member and Chief Trustee of the BITS-75
Charitable Trust. The trust is dedicated
to giving back to BITS alma mater, with its focus on projects to promote
entrepreneurship among BITS students and faculty, and its "Guru-Dakshina”
program.

After
completing B.E. (Hons.) in Electronics from BITS, Pilani, India (1975) joined
Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited at its Bhopal plant as Testing Engineer.
Assured over a hundred customers about functional specifications by testing of
drives, static excitation systems, AVRs, Power Rectifiers.
After getting trained
at Brown Boveri, Switzerland for production and Testing of its Static
Excitation Equipments, returned to Bangalore and established systems for
production and testing of the same. Established QA and Testing facilities for
HVDC valve and control systems at Electronics Division, Bangalore and ensured
delivery of these systems for India’s first HVDC line between Rihand and
Dadri. Involved in development of
indigenous NHVDC project at various stages. Additionally developed software for
QA and SQC and trained many engineers in Bangalore along with ISI, Bangalore
faculty. Since 1991
established Electronics production, design and QA systems at Truetzschler,
India at Ahmedabad, a company that makes World class Textile machines for pre
spinning sector. As IT head implemented ERPs Symix and MFG/PRO. Currently
heading Quality, Electronics and IT and involved in mentoring leaders for
future at the company.

EU, Eastern Europe, and Asia. His passion is to grow businesses; profitably -

two decades, he led 7 businesses to significant growth creating a total value
of several billion dollars for stakeholders. With his exceptional ability step change

Defense industries. A well-known keynote speaker, he serves on the Board of Directors
of several organizations. His past industry experience includes working with

Vijay Chandru obtained a B.E. (Hons.) in EE from BITS
in 1975 and went on to get a doctorate from MIT. Chandru is an academic and an entrepreneur
who was named in the 50 Pioneers of Change by India Today in 2008. His academic
career in mathematical sciences spanned over thirty years as a research
scientist and professor at Purdue University, IBM, Indian Institute of Science,
UPenn and at MIT. He is a Fellow of the academies of science and engineering in
India. As an inventor and co-founder of the open source handheld Simputer
Project, and the computational biology company Strand Life Sciences, Chandru
has been recognized as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum.
He
currently serves as Chairman & CEO of Strand LS and as the honorary
president of ABLE, the apex body of Indian biotechnology industry. Chandru is
one of the founder trustees of the BITS-75 Charitable Trust.
