About CEL

The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) was setup with a mission to promote entrepreneurial thinking among the BITSian community and create business leaders in all spheres of life.

Seeded by the BITSAA Center for Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital (CEVC), CEL was setup in record-time in 2003 with the concerted efforts of the institute, alumni and students. The CEL chapter in Pilani co-founded the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), along with the Wadhwani Foundation; while being funded and recognized by the Foundation as one of the Top 5 Entrepreneurship Centers in India, in the very first year of its inception.

Today, apart from existing as student CEL chapters in the Pilani and Goa campuses, BITSAA-CEL is taking shape as a strong community of BITSian entrepreneurs and other alumni/students interested in entrepreneurship.

Goals

• Form a close-knit community of BITSians interested in entrepreneurship and venture creation
• Create and compile resources for aspiring entrepreneurs in the BITSAA community.
• Build and support high-quality ecosystems in the BITS campuses to support startups
