The Rakesh Chandra Scholarship has been instituted by Rakesh Chandra, an alumni from the class of 1964.
Rakesh Chandra graduated from BITS Pilani in December 1964 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Rakesh did his Masters (Operations Research) from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1967 and completed course work towards Ph.D from New York University. He joined IBM Corporation in 1967 and has worked in US, Mumbai, London, and Paris with IBM. He currently works with IBM in US and lives in Wilton, Conn in US.
