The second ever BITS Alumni Meet in Mumbai is happening on February 21, 2004. Our chief guests for the event would be Rajesh Hukku (Chairman and MD of i-flex Solutions) [EEE - Graduated in 1979] and Ramesh Ramanathan [MSc Physics] - a key architect of two social movements - Bangalore's Janaagraha movement for Urban Development and Sanghamithra- a pioneering micro-credit institution! Selecting these two is in keeping with what we want to do each year, honouring one alumnus who has done well in the technical/corporate field, and another who has taken an alternate route to success (thus last year, Vivek Paul of Wipro and the novelist Shashi Warrier). This underlines the theme of BITS, the attempt to give us a well- rounded education that's more than just engineering. We look forward to seeing you there. 

Also, Dr. S. Venkateswaran (Vice Chancellor, BITS, Pilani), Dr. LK Maheshwari (Director, BITS-Pilani, Pilani Campus) and Dr. VS Rao (Deputy Director and Dean) would be coming from Pilani to attend this event.
