• Working on BITSConnect, a $1.5 million global fundraising initiative for BITS

• Raised $16,000 from two East Coast charity events

• Sponsored S S Seshadri Memorial Scholarship at BITS providing full-tuition for one third-year student annually

• Sponsored the Pendyala Vamsikrishna Memorial Scholarship at BITS providing full-tuition for one second-year student annually

• Revamping the alumni directory to make it a powerful networking tool

Initiatives for BITS Alumni in the US

• Founded BITSAA International Inc., a national organization with a National Advisory Board, National Operating Committee, Local Chapter representatives, BITSAA Trustees and the required infrastructure

• Received tax exempt status under section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code

• Helped found new chapters in the US, and organize around the world

• Designed and developed the www.bitsaa.org website

• Created the BITSAA Investment Committee for managing the BITSAA International funds

• Created the Academic Center and formed the Academic Council to strengthen relations between Academics, BITS and the BITSAA community

• Launching Sandpaper, BITSAA Edition

• Launching the Alumni Store for merchandising

• Launching ClassNotes and Batch Representatives to keep you in touch with your classmates
