After about 9 months in various hospitals, Anitha Ashokan was shifted back to her house in Chennai over the weekend.
In CMC Vellore, she was being administered cognitive, physio and speech
therapy. Anitha is doing better than before and has shown good progress in
her treatment. She now
recognizes people, smiles meekly and acknowledges presence
with her eyes. Given the condition she was in , slow but consistent improvement like this is definitely a positive sign.
Now that no more critical care
treatment is required, the physio / cognitive and speech therapy that
she was undergoing in the hospital will taken care from home. The
doctors and her family hope that a break from the hospitals and the
familiar atmosphere of their house could help her recover faster.
Hope things turn out better for her and please continue to hold her in your prayers.
