Kickoff Event - May 10, 2003

Just to update you all about our maiden BITSAA-UK meet on Saturday, May 10. We had a total of five guys who turned up at Pret  - Yashodhan Bhatwadekar "Yash", ('90), Arup Ghosh Dastidar (Dusty) ('86), Amit Mathur (Faps) ('87), Sandeep Sharma ('96) and myself (;82). Spent 2 hours together (quick chat + waiting outside Pret and then off to M&S coffee shop for sizzling cappuccinos, hot chocolates and lite bites). It was great fun as well as nostalgic to catch-up on Bitsian terms, Bhawans, Cnot, Skylab, Insti, Audi, Oasis and of course, how could we forget Meera Bhawan. Each of us had some interesting stories to share around the respective years that we were at BITS.

In the end, we have decided to setup another meeting on a weekday evening over a round of drinks, preferably, a Thursday evening around 6.30pm in the City / Westend ; so as to get more people to turn up, especially those amongst you who might have wanted to come, but due to existing engagements or a Saturday, could not turn up.

A tentative plan for a family outing (a picnic) has also been made for sometime in June/July recommendations for the venue have poured in for Windsor and Henley; inputs from you all are welcome if u want to suggest a location.
