The past few weeks of updates and newsletters, the 2 years of planning and hard-work come to fruition with the inauguration of BITS Connect 2.0. January 9th and 10th are red-letter days for all of us BITSians, as we witness our alma mater's first step to becoming a world-class private university with state of the art TelePresence installations. The event will see the coming together of the key people in charge of the project, prominent alumni, academic researchers and industry luminaries.
The inauguration will happen on January 9th and 10th simultaneously across the TelePresence rooms in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses, the Cisco offices in Boston and San Jose, and ABG's office in Mumbai. Here's a quick line-up of the events on the two days.

Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla is an Indian industrialist and the Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, one of the largest conglomerate corporations in India. He is also the Chancellor of the Birla Institute of Technology & Science since September 2008.

Prof. Andrew Ng is an associate professor in the department of Computer Science and the Director of Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab. He co-founded Coursera with Daphne Koller. Prof. Ng will join us from San Jose.
Prof. Anant Agarwal is a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the President of edX founder and CTO of Tilera Corporation. Prof. Agarwal will join us from Boston.
