BITS Pilani spellbound by scintillating Cello Performance

Saskia Rao-de Haas, a brilliant cellist from the Netherlands has truly introduced a new sound in the classical music world of India today. She has modified the cello to perform north Indian classical music. With a strong foundation in western classical and Indian classical music, she has ensured that critics and audiences worldwide have always received her music with great enthusiasm.

The Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), BITS Pilani Rajasthan chapter organized a cello performance by Saskia Rao-de Haas on Monday 01 September 2008 in the auditorium of the Institute. Saskia's Cello performance undoubtedly deserved houseful attendance at the auditorium of BITS Pilani and a standing ovation which she duly obtained in full measure.
