Thank you! #BITSians' Day

A couple of BITSians met up in a very small village of Ganjam in Orissa on the 1st of this month to revel in the common bond they shared. In Hong Kong, a new chapter of BITSAA was born, bringing together people who were not aware of fellow BITSians in their place of dwelling. BITSians in more than 100 offices worldwide came and showed off the BITSian spirit in their offices, wearing their BITSian pride on their sleeve. In Udaipur, BITSians shone on the printed media front. The social media saw a deluge of BITSian memories.
This was BITSians’ Day 2014.
With an unprecedented answer to the call, we can easily say that BITSians’ Day 2014 was a resounding success [and we mean that modestly, to say the least]; and we have no one else to thank but ourselves – the BITSian junta! Colleagues, friends and family everywhere were astounded by this sudden outpouring of “BITsian-ity” – one social media post even ridiculed it thus “Agle janam ya toh 10 se zyada BITSian friends na dijo, ya BITSian hi kijo”.
We’re sure we’ve set a precedent for any other alumni groups out there. Each one of us should be proud of such an accomplishment.
We sincerely hope that the BITSians you met, the connections you forged or re-discovered, and the memories you unearthed, will go a long way and you will like to get more active in local BITSAA chapters, organize more meet ups/enthu sessions etc., and yes, be looking forward to BITSians’ Day next year!
Also, it would be great if you could share photos of your BITSians’ Day celebration. If there’s anything really special you did, and would want us to highlight it, or provide some feedback, give ideas for next time, or just speak out, please mail us at email@example.com
