4 Bitsians from the Batch of 2010 - Ankita Sarda, Vaibhav Grewal, Prakash Singh and Shuja Shabir – are proud recipients of the Aditya Birla Group Scholarship which holds for the entire duration of
their course at BITS, Pilani. The scholarship will not only cover the academic fees but the hostel fees
Having achieved no mean feat, the scholars will also undergo a rigorous assessment on the basis of
quantitative and qualitative parameters on the academic and leadership front for the continuation of the scholarship. The scholar must consistently perform in academics with a position in the top
25% of students of his/her batch. Assignments and summer projects turned in must secure grades of at least a 7 on a scale of 9. And not only must he/she perform in the academic front, but also actively
partake in campus activities. As part of the learning from the experience, the scholar is also required
to write an essay on his/her experiences being an ABG Scholar.
Besides the recipients from the Class of 2010, an alumni and gold medallist, Aneesh Nazimuddin has
also done us proud by becoming an ABG Scholar from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM B). While the BITS students receive a scholarship to the tune of Rs. 65,00 per annum, the IIM
recipient will receive Rs. 1,75,000 per annum.
