Kavikrut makes it to Harvard

Another leader in the making, Kavikrut, a BITS Pilani graduate of MSc Tech. Finance(06’) has been admitted to Harvard Business School. Yes, we are speaking of the same Kavikrut who is an inspiration to many budding entrepreneurs and this comes as no surprise to the BITSian community. It was initially the reputed B-plan competitions and later the startup, Mobile Medics Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd. that proved the commitment and capability of Kavikrut. Mobile Medics aimed at providing high-quality, affordable, primary healthcare to affluent villages of rural India. Later he worked with Piramal E-swasthya; gaining a rich four year experience in the Indian Healthcare sector, this young leader is now ready to enter Harvard. Kavi was also a recipient of Global 30 under 30 award, given by BITSAA to recognize the extraordinary achievements of BITSians under thirty years of age.

Recollecting achievements of Mobile Medics B-Plan:
The Mobile Medics venture, sought to solve one of the world's toughest problems, it won a spate of awards through its journey including Best Presentation (Asia MOOT 2006 - Thailand), 1st Prize - (Lorne Weil Prize Columbia Business School Competition 2005 - New York), 1st Prize - Conquest (BITS Pilani 2005) and 2nd Prize - Runners Up (Bizzwings 2005 - IIM Bangalore). The venture was further boosted in 2006, by winning a $25,000 prize at the Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) – a partnership involving the biggest of big names - Haas School of Business, Columbia Business School (CBS), the Goldman Sachs Foundation and London Business School (LBS).
