Another novel initiative, brainchild of the Student Union (SU) transformed into reality!
The Cycle Club of BITS Pilani is one of the biggest initiatives of Student Union recently. The collective effort of making use of the abandoned cycles without having to face the pressure of rising prices of the new cycles has been the task at hand of the SU and SU has accomplished this mission with flair. The story is simple and goes this way; initially the number of abandoned cycles was estimated to be around 400. The average cost of initial repair was projected at Rs 500. Many companies from environment conscious Suzlon to cycle manufacturers such as BSA were contacted for support but to no avail.
The current Students Union President, Govindam Yadav with the support of BITSAA achieved this task of letting 150 students book their cycle in the first round of registration. This is a wonderful task which stresses upon the efficient use of resources.
BITSAA congratulates the Student Union for putting in loads of enthusiasm to have more riders on campus! Cheers to the riders!
