My Fellow BITSians & BITSAA's Leaders,

As I step down end of this month as CEO, here's a big "THANKS FOR WHAT YOU ALL DO. IT'S AMAZING AND HUMBLING"

As some of you know, the power-packed Board Committee for appointing the next BITSAA CEO|COO was led by Raju himself and consisted of SP Kothari, Viggy Mokkarala, Brij Bhushan, CS Goel, Srikanth Krishnamurthy, Deepak Sharma and Ashish Garg. Arun and I are thrilled to share with you Chairman Raju Reddy and the Board CEO|COO Confirmation Committee's decision, announced today-

Rohit Koul ('02-'06) - CEO & Trustee
Vijay Sharma ('06-'10) - COO & Trustee
Kaushik Subramanian ('01-'06) - CFO & Trustee
Rajesh Chelapurath ('88-'92) - CIO & Trustee
Abhisheak Iyer ('02-'06) - CMO
Raghuraman G ('04-'08) - CHRO
Suresh Sajja ('03-'08) - CTO

Rohit is based in the Bay Area. He has 2+ year-old career  as Leader spanning BITSAA's Technology Team, Operations Team including the last 8 months as our COO. He has been working actively with Fundraising Chair Viggy in "Building Bridges to the Future" of BITS Pilani. In the past, he has worked on many projects with a key role in Project BITSConnect2.0, BITS Batch Ambassadors Conferences, budget creation, defining goals org-wide, founding the 0% travel loans program for BITSians, BITSAA Global Meet 2011 prep, Hospitality for Fundraising etc. He has gone though the rigors of our volunteering hierarchy from Team Leader -->Manager -->´âáDirector --> Vice President -->COO. Several people have been instrumental in recommending his growth within our BITSAA organization. He has the right motivations - "I signed up because I care". He brings considerable maturity, resourcefulness, vision and most importantly passion to BITSAA's all-volunteer Leadership Team. His focus shall be on bringing representation, self-sustainiability and bringing "Alumni Enrichment" through BITSAA.

Vijay Sharma is based in Bangalore. Straight from his stint as SU President at Pilani, Vijay joined and helped create BITSAA's Campus Relations Team, started the sabbatical program@BITS for BITSians through BITSAA. In recent months, he has been working actively with Chairman Raju Reddy in conceptualizing and bringing to fruition a ground-breaking program to foster BITSian entrepreneurship - BITS SPARKS. Before that he worked under his Guru CS Goel in bringing BGM2011 into fruition as a Vice President on the Organizing Committee. Vijay also has had a 2+ year career within the BITSAA Leadership Team spanning many different projects, teams and initiatives. He most recently served as the Vice President of Operations and brings much needed "Let's go get it done" spirit to the Exec. team.

I would like to take this opportunity to say "Best of Luck" to the new Team and hope that all BITSAA Leaders and the alumni community will support them. BITSAA today is at the cusp of another metamorphosis; projects which will define BITS Alumni in the next decade - BITSConnect2.0, BITS SPARKS, Chapter Relations, Batch Ambassadors, BGM 2013|2014 Org Team - are all round the corner. Finally, we as BITS Alumni have made a commitment to raise $1Mi before the next BGM, $600K of which is due by June, 2012 for BITSConnect2.0 - a once-in-a-decade flagship project which demonstrates BITS Alumni's passion, zeal and forward thinking nature for our alma-mater. This new team has all the right credentials to take us there.. We need to now follow along under their leadership.

So long and Good Bye. Go BITS.
