Small Steps Foundation (SSF) is a non-profit public benefit volunteer corporation registered with the Secretary of State of California in Nov 2006. Small Steps Foundation is organized to aid in socio-economic development in India by raising funds in US to support developmental initiatives in India that focus on education of underprivileged children, education, and development of the girl child and rehabilitation of children in special circumstances.

Currently BITS.aid volunteers are working for a project named Vidya Vikas Kendra(VVK) based in Bangalore. They are helping SSF to create a project plan and execute it in partnership with VVK representative. This project plan which is currently ongoing involves marketing plan, systems to track cash inflows and outflows and also to develop a five year strategic plan for VVK.

BITS.aid also managed to bag another important project from SSF, called VH Adarsh Vidhya Mandir. It will be operational once BITS.aid Social Club is formed in BITS, Pilani campus. On the other hand, our BITS.aid volunteer, Vishrut is also managing SSF online presence on Facebook and Twitter. The volunteer is also in touch with the SSF core team for revamping their website and making it more effective for communication.
